IRD GLASS
Why IRD

The supplier relationship is part of the specification

A custom component can meet the drawing and still put a program at risk when ownership, communication, repeatability, or delivery breaks down.

IRD structures precision manufacturing around long-term OEM work: understand the full requirement, keep responsibility close to the process, and improve how the part is built over time.

How we work

Built to fit the program, not just the drawing

A dependable supplier has to understand where the component fits, how it will be inspected, when it is needed, and what happens when the requirement changes.

Cell-based manufacturing gives a team ownership across the component lifecycle. The manufacturing conversation includes tolerances, finishes, packaging, inventory control, point-of-use requirements, and expected volume. When standard methods are not enough, IRD can develop equipment, fixturing, and tooling around the part.

True Partnership

Keep process knowledge, customer context, and technical communication connected through the life of the program.

Real Customization

Develop the tooling, fixtures, process sequence, packaging, and controls the finished component requires.

Real Service

Respond when requirements or schedules change and improve the process instead of waiting for final inspection.

Three values guide how the work gets done — on the floor, in the quote, and in the conversation when a requirement changes.

Pride

Act with integrity, take responsibility for the work, and keep reaching for a higher level of quality.

Innovation

Pursue continuous improvement in processes, equipment, and ways of working.

Partnership

Practice goodwill, teamwork, and accountability so the work succeeds across organizational boundaries.

Recognition

Recognized by customers who measure supplier performance

These awards come from the customers who audit, score, and re-qualify their suppliers every year — the same buyers who track defect rates and delivery dates on a scorecard.
